Why have one

Answer the question once, for everyone.

When something breaks, the same question arrives from every direction: is it down, or is it just me? A status page answers it before anyone has to ask.

Fewer “is it down?” emails

People check the page instead of writing to you, and you write one update instead of twenty replies.

Trust you can show

Months of uptime, measured by real checks, tell customers you take reliability seriously.

Calm during an outage

A clear update with what you know and what you are doing keeps people patient while you fix it.

How it works

Live in three steps.

1

Create the page

Give it a name. It works straight away at a CronEngine address, and you see it exactly as your customers will.

2

Add your monitors

Pick the uptime monitors and heartbeats worth showing, give each a name your customers know, and group them.

3

Share the link

Put it in your footer, help pages and error pages, or move it to your own address.

Real numbers

Fed by your own monitors.

Most status page tools show what you type into them, or need a separate monitoring service connected. Here the status comes from the uptime monitors and heartbeats you already run, so it updates itself.

  • Uptime monitors check your site as often as every minute
  • Heartbeats show whether your backups and scripts ran
  • Daily bars and an uptime figure over 7, 30 or 90 days
  • A new monitor only counts the time it has been watching
  • The addresses you watch are never shown

Updates

Say what is going on.

A monitor can tell people something is down. Only you can tell them you know, and when it will be fixed. Write a short update, pick its stage, and post it. Planned maintenance can be announced ahead of time.

  • Stages: investigating, identified, monitoring, resolved
  • Open updates sit at the top of the page
  • Past incidents stay below as a history
  • Planned maintenance announced in advance

FAQ

Questions about status pages

Do I need a separate monitoring tool?

No. The status comes from uptime monitors and heartbeats in the same account, which are included in every plan.

Who can see my status page?

Anyone with the link. Set it to unlisted and it still works for everyone with the address, but asks search engines not to list it. Only what you add is shown, and the addresses you watch stay private.

Do visitors get cookies or tracking?

No. Status pages set no cookies for visitors and load no analytics or advertising.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, from the Pro plan. Add one CNAME record and the certificate is set up and renewed for you.

Can I show the same monitor on more than one page?

Yes, and under a different name on each page if you like.

Is the uptime figure honest?

It only counts time a monitor was actually watching, and planned maintenance still counts. A new monitor never claims a record it has not earned.

Give your customers a place to look.

Set up your monitors, publish the page, and share the link. It takes a few minutes.
